Overview

1R Barrier XL Hand Rail is a low-alignment, ground-level protection barrier from the Raysan PolyCore™ range, distributed in the United States by NexGen Barrier. It is engineered for facilities where forklift traffic, pallet trucks, and pedestrians share the same floor space. The XL cross-section is specified where standard 1R/2R profiles do not meet calculated impact energy for heavier trucks. An integrated hand rail provides pedestrian guidance without a separate guardrail system.

The barrier absorbs impact within the polymer rail and post, limiting transfer of force into floors, rack uprights, and building structures. After strikes below the endurance limit, the profile returns to shape — unlike steel barriers that dent permanently and often need full replacement after a single major hit.

Installation

Posts are anchored to concrete with supplied fixings. Rails slide into posts without welding. Layout changes require only hand tools — no hot work permit.

Supply chain

Manufactured by Raysan Flexible Barrier. Supplied and installed in the US by NexGen Barrier — East Rutherford, NJ.
